Our sweet Carter received the "Heart of Gold" award at her 1st grade end of year program. This award is a perfect fit for her...she is always caring, always king, and always thinking of others. It was so cute watching Mrs. Groce describe the different awards before saying the recipient, because the class was trying to guess who it would be. They immediately said Carter's name for every award that had to do with being a friend or a helper or kind, and they unanimously called out her name when the description was given for the "Heart of Gold" award. We are so proud of her! She actually liked school this year, thanks to the most precious teacher, and she learned so much.
