Wilson County Fair

We have had the best weather this entire summer...UNTIL the week of the Wilson County Fair.  I’m pretty sure I melted, and Charley definitely doesn’t appreciate being hot!  She’s such a little drama queen!  Regardless of the heat, we had a great time with the Artley’s.  Charley and Sam rode all of the rides and practically raced from one to the next.  They had a blast...and were, of course, adorable!

She had so much fun, she could barely keep her eyes open to get back to the car!  I’d call that a success!

First Day of Preschool

Miss Priss started back to preschool last week at Mt Juliet Church of Christ, and she is loving it!  She has another great teacher, Miss Emily, and even has a few friends in her class from last year.  She was a little “ticked” about having to go upstairs, but after seeing her new classroom and all the great new toys, she got over it.  We are looking forward to another fun year!

Cousin’s Fun 2014

Not sure if it was the chaos of so much fun packed into so little time or the pregnancy, but I did a terrible job at taking pictures of the Kobey, Laney and Charley when they came for their annual visit.  We ate at Chuy’s, shopped at Opry Mills, rode the carousel, played at Pump It Up, saw Planes: Fire and Rescue, and tore the house apart playing in between all of our excursions.  The kids had a blast together, and I loved catching up with Emily!

Swimming Lessons

We did two weeks of swimming lessons this summer at Brendan Sweetman Swimmer’s.  Charley has progressed so well and has completely ditched her puddle jumper or any type of floaties.  She begs to go to the pool almost every day and swims like a little fish!  On our last week of lessons, Logan and Haley stayed with us so he could take, too.  Not only did he learn lots, but we had a great time with our extra house guests...aka Charley’s adopted big brother...she bugged him like the perfect little sis!  On a side note, I coined a new breakfast cereal name.  Apparently I text Haley asking if they liked “Honey BUTT Cheerios” instead of “Honey NUT Cheerios”....oops!  The only “issue” we had with the kids was over Charley teasing Logan that he was getting “Honey BUTT Cheerios” for lunch instead of Chick-fil-a.  He said he was NOT eating that for lunch...I said she was just kidding...she said she wasn’t kidding...Haley and I were dying laughing...I threatened to only feed Charley “Honey BUTT Cheerios” if I heard those words out of her mouth one more time!  Needless to say, the whole scene was pretty comical!
