Principal's List and Kids' Choice Award

So proud of this girl!!!  Carter made All A's for the 2nd nine weeks of school and was voted by her class for the Kids' Choice Award.  I knew in advance that she would be getting some type of award, so I asked what they voted for in class.  She said, "you know, like a good person that is nice and kind!"  I couldn't have described her better myself!

Carter's 1st Basketball Season

Carter decided on the day of evaluations, like 4:00 p.m., that she wanted to try out basketball for the first time.  We had 2 hours to sign her up and pay the late fee before she had to be at the school.  We didn't even own a basketball, but she didn't let that stop her from jumping into something new.  Her team improved so much, and she learned a ton.  I still think softball is her favorite, but I foresee more basketball in her future!

Cheering for the Wildcats Basketball Season

Middle school basketball season was a whole new world for our family.  We typically run with a pretty full calendar, so adding two nights of games each week on top of all the other things was often  challenging...but so worth it, because the giant smile never left Charley's face the entire season!  She loved cheering for her school!  This season was particularly special for Charley because she got to cheer one year with some of her favorite "big sisters" (Kate, Olivia and Ava) before they go to high school, she hit it off with the sweetest new friends (Riley, Alayna and Hallee), and she finally got her back handspring and started doing it flawlessly on the gym floor!  The girls basketball team was so fun to watch and cheer for, and they ended up being 4th in the state!

Camryn loved going to games to watch "Char-we and the Wildcats," despite the look on her face in most pictures!
