Christmas With...

In addition to all of our “regular” Christmas gatherings, Miss Priss had a few celebrations with some extra special people...

Lunch with Sam, Josh and Rachel where Charley gave Sam a Hulk, and Sam gave Charley the cutest Disney “Prempess” tea set, ever...and a few kisses!

Christmas with Brooke and Gina at Gramma’s house...these two had lots of fun together!

Gramma, Granddaddy Charlie and I took Miss Priss to see Euke and Nell....they loved getting to see Charley, and we loved seeing them and taking a new doormat and country ham!

Since a trip to Benton isn’t complete without eating at Catfish Kitchen, we made a special trip to see Mr. Wes and Mrs. Judy at their house, because they were closed for most of the month.  They loved their gifts, and Miss Priss loved helping them open everything.

Charley even got presents at church from Mr. Lonnie and Mrs. Sherry and from Scott, Hay-Hay, and Logan.  (Logan’s cousins were at church, and I sat Charley in the pew with them for the last few minutes of the service.  Logan’s cousin Brooke loved it, but his cousin Brady seemed confused.  Logan said, “Its ok, I’ve known her for like a really long time!  That’s Charley.”  haha...try for like her whole life!

Friend’s Christmas

Christmas is always my favorite time of the year, and to say that I was disappointed to not host our annual Christmas party would be an understatement; however, Court offered to have our Friend’s Christmas Dinner at her house which gave me a reason to make punch...and punch definitely helps with my party fix!  Charley must get her Christmas excitement from her Momma, because she was so excited to go over to Aunt Court’s and Uncle B’s to play with Baby Finley and Baby Harper.  She practiced all day giving the babies their “ba’s,” rocking them, and making them go “night-night!”  (If only it was that easy!)  We enjoyed a fab dinner of our favorite party foods, punch and Christmas candy for dessert.  It was so funny to look around the table and see how things had changed over the years.  Having friends that are like family is a blessing that I am beyond thankful for!  The girls finally got to open the presents that I have had in my gift box since the summer...all three cuties with be sporting red and white, Kate Mack tankini’s this summer...the cuteness makes me giddy thinking about it!!!

Fun Fact: I originally purchased all three of the girl’s outfits...luckily we all have girls and my shopping abilities can be utilized to their greatest potential :)

Me, “Charley, tell us how a dog goes.”
Charley, “afoo, afoo”
Me, “How does a cow go?”
Charley, “moooooo”
Me, “How does a lion go?”
Charley whispers, “rarrrrrr”
Me, “How does a cat go?”
Charley, “Meow.”
Charley, “Dadda????”
Me, “Ok, how does Dadda go?”
Charley, “Pooped!  Shew!”

hahahahaha

We’ve moved...

This past week has definitely been a whirlwind, but also an important milestone for our little family.  We sold our first house on Aidan Lane, and bought our “forever,” “move and stay,” or “father of the bride” home.  If I really sat and thought about it, I could probably get emotional about leaving the first place Charley called home, but Craig and I are so excited about all the future memories we plan to make for Charley and any other kiddos that may enter our life in this house.  Since it is literally two weeks before Christmas, and we only had about a day and a half to get out of our house (timing wasn’t the best), I haven’t really decorated or taken many pictures!  Maybe after the holidays!  I did make time to put up a Christmas tree...after all, Santa needs a place to deliver Charley Robinson’s toys!!!

Thanksgiving 2012

We have so much to be thankful for, that I don’t think I can put it all into words.  Our Thanksgiving pictures this year pretty much sum it up.

Happy. Family. Food. Laughter. Funny Faces. Friends. Tradition. Love. Yummy. Thankful. Together. Blessed. Legacy. Prayerful. Healthy. Memories.

Happy Halloween

After missing Trunk or Treat in Kentucky last year, we promised Gramma that we would attend this year.  It fell on the Sunday that Gramma and I got back from our trip to NYC, which we thought would be perfect.  Well, as usual, we tried to fit way too much into one day so we had to scratch Trunk or Treat, again!  Next year…maybe?  We did manage to take the cutest little doggie to see a few people while we were in Kentucky!  We stopped by Uncle Allen and Aunt Sharron’s house, Euke and Nell’s house, Uncle Ed and Aunt Betty’s house, Uncle Chris and Aunt Katie’s house, Granddaddy Charlie and Granny Martha’s house, Uncle Mike and Tammy’s house and Catfish Kitchen to see Wes and Judy and have dinner since being a cute dog works up an appetite!  Charley filled her doggy treat bag with lots of her fav’s including: Smartie’s, suckers, M&M’s, gum, animal crackers and LOTS of $1 bills.

When we got back home, she had some Halloween cards and money from Pops and Mamy, Mimi and Grandy, Mawmaw, and Gramma and Granddad.  We let Charley put the money from the cards and her $1 bills into her piggy bank…which was so cute!

On Halloween we took our little doggy over to Josh, Rachel and Sam’s house to Trick-or-Ttreat with them.  Sam was the cutest Ninja Turtle…maybe with the exception of Uncle Justin back in the day when he dressed up as one.  We had a great time with the Artley’s, especially after we hooked Charley’s candy bag onto her stroller so she wouldn’t keep throwing it down.  About a week before Halloween, Miss Judy taught Charley how to open her own sucker…so we are pretty sure the only reason why she stayed in the stroller so well was because of all the suckers…Craig said he counted at 5!  Maybe we can go a whole year before she has suckers for dinner again…here’s hoping!

Oh, and her “How does a doggy go?” response was precious…sort of a backwards bark, “afoo! afoo!”

Happy Halloween….”afoo! afoo!”
