Smoky Mountain Rain Weekend with the Summars

Lots of snacks...giant bowl of fall party mix...NO plans...NO agenda...old school country music...endless games of cards....these are just a few reasons why our weekend in the mountains with the Summars was so perfect and just what we needed in the middle of our crazy schedule!

Charley 7 Years 6 Months

iPhone pics over the last 3 months...is it bad that so many are snapped in the car on the way to school???  Life of a busy 2nd grader!

Mary Poppins Audition

Auditions at Audience of One are serious business, and people are often surprised when I tell them what Charley has to prepare.  For her Mary Poppins audition, she walked into the room of judges, introduced herself, sang a solo, acted out a monologue and did a dance number....all the while I was downstairs straining to hear and fighting back proud Momma tears!  haha.  Hard work and confidence paid off again, because Charley was cast in the young ladies ensemble for the Audience of One Christmas play...and we are all SO EXCITED...one might say we are supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!

Taylor Swift

"Over the top" is the best way to describe Charley's first concert experience.  I probably set the bar too high, but we couldn't have had a more fabulous time than when we went to see Taylor Swift!  We had great seats, wore matching "Reputation" tanks, went with precious friends and traveled in style in a limo.  I had joked for weeks that I knew Taylor Swift better when she sang about Tim McGraw, and for the first time ever, Tim and Faith showed up and sang that song with her on stage...I was ecstatic...Charley thought he was Taylor's dad!  haha!  I'm still smiling (months later bc I am so behind on blogging) thinking about how much fun we had together that night.
