Artley/Robinson Christmas

Knowing that our get-together dates would be limited, we celebrated Christmas with the Artleys during the first week of December.  Scrooge, I mean Craig, wasn't too excited about going downtown for dinner, but by the end of the night he was starting to feel the Christmas spirit.  We had dinner at Burger Republic and then piled into our car to see the dancing lights at Jellystone.  So much fun with such great friends.

Gingerbread House

Charley kicked off a month of Christmas fun by making her gingerbread house.  She ate as much as she decorated, but her house turned out adorable!  Carter joined in near the end, and by joined in, she helped Sister eat more candy!

Gobble 'Til You Wobble

For some reason I never get very many pictures on Thanksgiving.  Maybe it's because we have big meals around 11:00 at Granny Martha's and 4:00 at Granny Katherine's house and there isn't a lot of down time.  This year Granny Martha was three weeks post knee replacement surgery and didn't feel up to doing her usual cooking, so Amma stepped in, and it was AMAZING!!!  She did great!  Cooking isn't her favorite activity, but you wouldn't have known that based on her Thanksgiving lunch!  We have so much to be thankful for and spending the day with family is at the top of the list!

We had a late Thanksgiving lunch at Uncle Jon and Aunt Susie's house on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  The girls had the best time with Gracie and Olivia!

Carter's First Trip to the Movies

On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Emily and I took the girls to see Moana.  It was Carter's first movie, and I am shocked to say that she was great!  Besides saying "what happened?" 150 times and her little woohoo/crow sound that she made a few times near the end of the movie, it was a success.  It's been over a month, but she keeps saying, "Movie...popcorn...fruit snacks...and Diet Coke!"  She's such a stinker and remembers exactly what she ate!  I'm not sure how well the big girls paid attention, because they were scheming a sleepover plan, but we all had lots of fun and the movie was adorable!

Charley had some quality time with Granny Martha before the movie.  These two love to sit in that chair and work on stuff together!  Precious!

Fired Up with Friends

Our crazy schedules made Charley miss a few of her favorite friends' birthday parties, so we decided to make up for it by taking all of them to Fired Up to paint Christmas ornaments.  The girls had a blast, and they made the cutest ornaments!!!  I can't believe how fast this "dance group" has grown!  This is their third year in dance together, and I just love the special friendship between Charley, Olivia, Madelyn, and Audrey.

Trunk or Treat and Halloween

Charley and I sat down at the computer to order her Halloween costume.  She had originally planned to be Mal from Descendants, which I'm sure had something to do with the beautiful dress and purple hair.  As we were scrolling through the website, she lost her mind when she saw the bride costume.  She tossed her plans out the window and was dead set that she needed to be a bride.  Her exact quote was, "I am going to be a bride for Halloween, because Uncle Justin is never going to make me a flower girl!"  For trunk or treat, she was the most beautiful bride, and Carter wore her Minnie Mouse Witch costume.

After the bride costume arrived, Charley asked me to be her bridesmaid.  Around 4:00 p.m. on Halloween, she asked Daddy to be her groom and sister to be a flower girl.  We scrambled to get it together, but we pulled it off with a borrowed dress, a suit, Carter's Easter dress and some help from the craft closet.  The look on the Artley's faces was priceless when they were welcomed by the Robinson Wedding Party of 4!

Charley's 1st Cheerleading Showcase

GRINCHES!

Charley's first cheerleading showcase was so cute!!!  All of the Cheerville Athletics' teams performed in front of friends and family to get a feel for performing in front of an audience.  I think this practice round was most beneficial for Craig as a cheer dad!  His eyes were definitely opened.  He still has lots to learn, and it is going to be so fun to watch!
