Easter Egg Hunt at Pre-School

Thanks to Brynn’s Mommy, I have some pictures to post of Charley’s school Easter egg hunt.  She had a great time doing an Easter craft and hunting eggs on the playground with all of her friends!

Charley’s Earrings

For as long as I can remember, Charley has been asking about earrings.  I can’t count how many times she has said, “when I get bigger, I can get earrings.”  Well...she finally got “bigger” or at least big enough to understand that it will hurt at first, we have to clean them daily, and we cannot take them out for a while.  She decided that it was time and that she needed to get them pierced before she went to see the Easter bunny at the mall.  She just knew that he would love her new earrings!  She was so excited and brave on the day that Amma and I took her to get big girl earrings.  Luckily the girls did both ears at the same time, otherwise we may have left with just one earring.  She did cry when they finished, but only for a few minutes.  Once she started checking herself out in the mirror, she forgot all about them hurting and couldn’t wait to show that Easter bunny!

Charley in Chicago for Mike and Kari’s Wedding

Miss Priss is all about going places and not missing out on the action.  Mike and Kari’s wedding in Chicago was no exception.  She flew up with her Daddy, experienced taxi rides, shopped the Magnificent Mile, and danced at the wedding.  She LOVED being Mike and Kari’s special helpers at the rehearsal dinner, and she is still talking about them getting married and the wedding.  I think one of her favorite parts of the wedding was dancing with Lulu and Mal-Mal...they taught her how to “drop it low” which is a move we see quite a bit!  I would say her other favorite part was being in the “ho-telll” with Momma, Daddy, Amma and Granddad.  We had a super busy, but amazingly fun weekend and somehow managed to bring home all of Charley’s loot from American Girl and the Disney Store!  Congrats Mike and Kari!  We love you!
