Charley looked forward to Newsies, Jr for months!!! She was so excited to participate in a show that focused so heavily on dance and to be able to do her back handspring on stage. Emotions were high for the last week of rehearsal until the final bow, because it was the last show directed by Lena, Brett and Ashley and the last junior show with so many of her friends. The first line of one of the songs is "there's change comin' once and for all..." and the kids really struggled to sing that without getting upset. Between their emotions and the trumpet, it was almost impossible to watch and not cry, too.
The Capitol Theatre truly is a special place, and Audience of One is family.
