Wilson County Fair - Daddy Guest Blog

Daddy Guest Blog - The Wilson County Fair

We look forward to the Wilson County Fair every single year!  It's always a lot of fun and a good night for our little family.  Because of COVID, the fair was cancelled for 2020, but the fair was a go for 2021, and the girls couldn't wait to get home from school and spend their Monday night at the fair.  However, this year we had to leave Mommy and Cam at home since Cam was only 10 months, and the fair is really not a great place for a 10 month old (although some brave souls try it).

We had so much fun!  It was the first day of my new job, so we were able to leave the house very early to get to the fair right when it opened.  We had a blast riding everything before it got too busy.  Carter loved the "roller coaster" and Charley wanted to ride every single ride.  When it started to get busy, we took a little break for dinner.  The fair has some of the best food and with all the great, fried options available to us, Carter ate a hot dog.  Charley and I got some of our favorites from the fried green tomatoes food truck, and everything was delicious!

The girls wanted to ride more rides after we ate, which sounded totally fine at first, but then didn't feel so good after all the fried food settled in.  After the girls were able to ride some of their favorite rides a couple more times, I finally convinced them to leave with the treat of ice cream.

Even though we had such a great time, we really missed Mommy and Cam.  I can't believe how much older our big girls are, and it doesn't seem possible that the little girls that used to ride the little kid rides are totally past that stage.  I can't wait until next year when we get to take the entire crew.
