Charley's Preschool Graduation

Charley's preschool graduation was the perfect ending to three very sweet years at Mount Juliet Church of Christ Preschool.  I decided to throw a little last minute party to celebrate our graduate.  Amma, Granddad, Granny Martha, Granddad Charlie, Billy and Marilyn came over for a quick dinner of some of Charley's favorite things and a few of her not-so-favorite things....nuggets from Chickfila and chips and salsa from Chuy's were top on the menu.  We didn't have time for dessert, so the Artley's joined us after graduation for a DQ blizzard cake.

After Charley's debut preschool program performance a few years ago when she "wanted to sing but her mouth didn't work," I was very nervous about her leading the Pledge of Allegiance with her friend Olivia.  I worried for nothing, because she did a wonderful job during her entire performance.  Carter saw her sister on the stage and started yelling, "Charwee...Charwee...Charweeeeee!"  She was so loud and it was so cute and the whole church was giggling.

Charley got a few giggles on her own when she started down the aisle to accept her "diploma" and Mrs. Tina announced, "Charley Robinson will attend Rutland Elementary in the fall...and when she grows up she wants to be a waitress and a cheerleader!"  Our girl is shooting for the starts...haha...but Daddy said, "at least we will save on college!"

I think one of the hardest parts about graduation is that Charley won't be in school with her friends that she has gotten to know so well next year.  She has been in class with Sawyer for all three years, and they have the sweetest friendship.  If you see one of them, the other isn't far behind.  I know she's going to miss her "boyfriend" in kindergarten.

As I reflect on the past three years, Im blown away at how far Charley has come.  She has learned so much, and she couldn't be more ready for the next chapter in her life.  Kindergarten...here she comes...look out!!!
