Christmas Eve Eve

Christmas Eve Eve has sort of turned into the time when we celebrate with Gramma, Granddad Mike and Uncle Justin...which has been great to have a day or night devoted just to enjoy each other’s company and give and open all of our presents before all of hustle and bustle of multiple places, traveling, cooking, presents, etc.  This year we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner and took Miss Priss to see the Christmas lights at Mike Miller Park before going home to open presents.  Charley definitely makes opening presents extra fun...don’t get me wrong, a few years ago Gramma was so excited she did a toe-touch, so things were fun then, too...but seeing everything through Charley’s eyes puts a whole new sense of “magic” back in Christmas...and who doesn’t love magic!?!

Not sure why any of us got Charley anything other than “num-num’s” (M&M’s), but her stocking was filled with great stuff...a cute purse, num-nums, “prempess” stickers, Minnie Mouse puzzle, Minnie Mouse pez, Minnie Mouse camera and Minnie Mouse jammies...everything was super cute!!! (Gramma and Granddad Mike (mainly Gramma) always have the BEST stocking!!!)

Charley gave Uncle Justin Tervis Tumblers for his apartment.
Granddad Mike has been on a mission to get Charley a cap since she loves his...little did he know, Charley got them coordinating caps...his was camo Under-Armour and her’s was camo and says “Too cute in camo!”  He LOVED it!

Gramma’s present from Charley was a little extra special since it was her Gramma/Nanny present!  It was basically a stocking in a box including JS silver earrings, MAC eye shadows, “Blessed” bracelet, long white cami, and the finale was Tory Burch studs!  Gramma LOVED hers too!

Craig had an extra special Christmas and got a Keurig, cologne, boxers, socks,  another pocket knife, a “cool” shirt,  Dunkin’ Donut K-cups, safe, and money for our new TV (aka the money pit, but that’s a whole other story!)  He also got Polo jammie pants from Justin that he loves!
I had the best Christmas (like always) and got a new lamp for the house, this awesome vase, Juicy perfume, money for the never-ending TV, fab earrings, MAC pallet, lipgloss, PINK tunic sweatshirt,  and a Juicy scarf.  Justin got me Fiesta mugs, which are perfect for the Keurig!

I almost forgot...I just mentioned Charley’s stocking...Uncle Justin got her a new stool for her bathroom (which she loves a little too much and we constantly catch her “brushing her teeth” aka eating the toothpaste), and Gramma and Granddad went a little overboard and got her a Minnie Mouse 4-wheeler (that she drives straight into the wall of her playroom :), the clubhouse to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, play food for her kitchen and a Minnie Mouse get-ready set with all things girlie.  Its a good thing that Gramma and Granddad had already planned on going back home with us, otherwise we wouldn’t have made it back with all of our stuff from our first get-together!  Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

Christmas With...

In addition to all of our “regular” Christmas gatherings, Miss Priss had a few celebrations with some extra special people...

Lunch with Sam, Josh and Rachel where Charley gave Sam a Hulk, and Sam gave Charley the cutest Disney “Prempess” tea set, ever...and a few kisses!

Christmas with Brooke and Gina at Gramma’s house...these two had lots of fun together!

Gramma, Granddaddy Charlie and I took Miss Priss to see Euke and Nell....they loved getting to see Charley, and we loved seeing them and taking a new doormat and country ham!

Since a trip to Benton isn’t complete without eating at Catfish Kitchen, we made a special trip to see Mr. Wes and Mrs. Judy at their house, because they were closed for most of the month.  They loved their gifts, and Miss Priss loved helping them open everything.

Charley even got presents at church from Mr. Lonnie and Mrs. Sherry and from Scott, Hay-Hay, and Logan.  (Logan’s cousins were at church, and I sat Charley in the pew with them for the last few minutes of the service.  Logan’s cousin Brooke loved it, but his cousin Brady seemed confused.  Logan said, “Its ok, I’ve known her for like a really long time!  That’s Charley.”  haha...try for like her whole life!

Friend’s Christmas

Christmas is always my favorite time of the year, and to say that I was disappointed to not host our annual Christmas party would be an understatement; however, Court offered to have our Friend’s Christmas Dinner at her house which gave me a reason to make punch...and punch definitely helps with my party fix!  Charley must get her Christmas excitement from her Momma, because she was so excited to go over to Aunt Court’s and Uncle B’s to play with Baby Finley and Baby Harper.  She practiced all day giving the babies their “ba’s,” rocking them, and making them go “night-night!”  (If only it was that easy!)  We enjoyed a fab dinner of our favorite party foods, punch and Christmas candy for dessert.  It was so funny to look around the table and see how things had changed over the years.  Having friends that are like family is a blessing that I am beyond thankful for!  The girls finally got to open the presents that I have had in my gift box since the summer...all three cuties with be sporting red and white, Kate Mack tankini’s this summer...the cuteness makes me giddy thinking about it!!!

Fun Fact: I originally purchased all three of the girl’s outfits...luckily we all have girls and my shopping abilities can be utilized to their greatest potential :)

Me, “Charley, tell us how a dog goes.”
Charley, “afoo, afoo”
Me, “How does a cow go?”
Charley, “moooooo”
Me, “How does a lion go?”
Charley whispers, “rarrrrrr”
Me, “How does a cat go?”
Charley, “Meow.”
Charley, “Dadda????”
Me, “Ok, how does Dadda go?”
Charley, “Pooped!  Shew!”

hahahahaha

We’ve moved...

This past week has definitely been a whirlwind, but also an important milestone for our little family.  We sold our first house on Aidan Lane, and bought our “forever,” “move and stay,” or “father of the bride” home.  If I really sat and thought about it, I could probably get emotional about leaving the first place Charley called home, but Craig and I are so excited about all the future memories we plan to make for Charley and any other kiddos that may enter our life in this house.  Since it is literally two weeks before Christmas, and we only had about a day and a half to get out of our house (timing wasn’t the best), I haven’t really decorated or taken many pictures!  Maybe after the holidays!  I did make time to put up a Christmas tree...after all, Santa needs a place to deliver Charley Robinson’s toys!!!

Thanksgiving 2012

We have so much to be thankful for, that I don’t think I can put it all into words.  Our Thanksgiving pictures this year pretty much sum it up.

Happy. Family. Food. Laughter. Funny Faces. Friends. Tradition. Love. Yummy. Thankful. Together. Blessed. Legacy. Prayerful. Healthy. Memories.
