Charley's 12th Birthday

It's only fitting that Charley spent the entire Spring Break celebrating her 12th Birthday.  We kicked things off with a family dinner at Maggianos and ice cream at The Baked Bear!

Charley and Harper were born a little under 24 hours from each other at the same hospital...we just didn't know it or them at the time.  The girls have always wanted to have joint celebration, so we made it happen this year at 5th & Broad.  The weather was gorgeous, so we drove the Jeep with the front top off.  We had lunch outside, the girls exchanged gifts, took a ton of cute pictures and got their 50% off birthday necklaces at Kendra Scott.  It was the perfect way to celebrate turning 12 together!

We had the sweetest family celebration at Dumplins when I took Camryn and Carter up for Spring Break.  I knew Granny Martha, Grandad Charlie and Granny Katherine were joining us, but it was the best surprise when Grandad Mike and Uncle Justin showed up!

Charley has always been blessed with the sweetest group of friends and I'm so thankful we made it as far as we did without any issues.  Unfortunately we got a taste of drama in 6th grade that made for some pretty sad days at our house, so I wanted her 12th birthday to be extra special....and drama free!  My ideas aren't always well received these days (yeah hormones), but Charley loved the thought of a quick trip to the Mall of America, and it was icing on the cake when I suggested taking Riley with us.

We left super early on the 8th, so we would have Charley's entire birthday (the 9th) to spend at the mall.  The girls had the best time eating all the things, going into every store, hanging out at the hotel, riding rides, taking selfies and shopping for cute clothes.  I think my favorite part of the trip was the nightly fashion show and photo shoot for Amma...it was hilarious!
