I joked that Charley took as long to get ready for her 8th Grade Winter Formal as I did on my wedding day, but she looked so beautiful! She requested a half up hair style with Dutch braids, so I learned how to braid that way the day before the dance. Doing her hair myself was a bold move, but thankfully she was happy with it! The dance wasn't as much fun as the girls had hoped, but the dressing up part was extra special. I told her not to come home until she complimented someone she doesn't normally talk to, and to take a picture with a boy....mission accomplished for both of my requests. I still can't believe how grown up she looked that night!
