If you want to know how to make a little girl, two tweens and a teen really happy, just take them to Los Angeles for the day. The 6th day of our California road trip was filled with all things Hollywood and LA, and was such a fun day for everyone....even Grandad Mike! haha. We had an early lunch at Mel's Diner, strolled the Hollywood Walk of Fame, toured the Hollywood hills on an open top bus, shopped (a little), found the yummiest ice cream sandwiches and walked on the beach at the Santa Monica Pier. Charley and Claire had talked about LA for months leading up to our trip, and we all knew they would be right in their element once we got there. What I didn't expect was how much Carter would love it. She is still talking about "dancing on the street in Nallywood with Michael Jack!"
What we didn't have on day 6 was dinner. Considering that may always be a sore subject at the Summar household, I will leave it at that. We got to our hotel around 9:00, snacked and made sure everything was ready for our big day in Disneyland.
