Taking Cam to Disney at age 4 without sisters might be one of the smartest ideas I've ever had! The trip truly was perfection! Amma and I were able to completely focus on Cam and do all the things she wanted to do. We waited in line for every single character and rode so many rides. I knew she was at least 38 inches tall, but I had a feeling she could ride ones that had a 40 inch height requirement. The first one we found was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. She couldn't fit under the measuring stick, so they sent us in for the ride. That little coaster took off and all I could hear was Amma laughing behind us while I clung to Cam. She giggled and had her hands up the whole time! Slinky Dog and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad were her two favorites of the trip, so it's safe to say she is gonna take after her big sisters when it comes to thrill rides...thankfully!
Her custom princess jacket, thanks to Kari and Mabel, was a huge hit throughout the park....everyone was obsessed with it, and Cam was obsessed with showing each princess where they were represented on the jacket. It was the cutest thing ever!
Since Cam has two big sisters, we pretty much have every single girl toy you could imagine. It's always tough when Cam wants to buy something, because chances are high that we have it or something very similar. Disney knows exactly where to put all the shops and all the trinkets to suck you in, and I did not want to go through a battle after every ride. I told Cam she could take pictures of everything she liked or thought she might want to buy, and we would make a choice on the last day. It worked like a charm. My camera roll was filled with shelves of stuffed animals, figurines, jewelry, dolls, ornaments, and dress up. Grandad Mike told Amma to spend $50 and let Cam pick out something she wanted. A few hours later, he called back and said, "I guess $50 is a little cheap for Disney...go ahead and spend $100!" haha! On our last night, we walked over to Disney Springs and Cam very carefully weighed all the options throughout the DisneyStore. She settled on a Sleeping Beauty Doll, Moana 2 doll and a baby tiger from Aladdin. Amma insisted on adding the stuffed Christmas Minnie, because it was so adorable and the perfect Christmas Disney souvenir.
I wish I could remember all the adorable things she said, because her outlook and phrasing really is the best. My favorite thing she said was, "Mom, when are we going to Netflix World?" It caught me off guard at first, but if you really think about the question, it's pretty smart from her perspective. She noticed Disney World had characters from Disney+ and not Netflix. Gosh I love her, and I'm so thankful for our special trip with Amma!
