Carter's Earrings

Amma told Carter she would get her ears pierced for her birthday.  Carter liked the idea, but it took a couple of months for her to be completely ready.  We made the most of a snow day in January and took Carter to Green Hills to cash in on her birthday present.  She was so "brave" (her words) and had lots of encouragement from Sister, Amma and Miss Marilyn.  The workers pierced both ears at the same time...thankfully!  Carter had a delayed reaction and cried for a minute or two, but she quickly started loving her new pink, flower earrings and kept showing them off and looking in the mirror.
