Garden Goodies

I cook a full out garden dinner compliments of Grandaddy Charlie's garden one time each year.  And by full out, I fry stuff...okra and squash specifically.  It's hard, takes FOREVER, makes a HUGE mess and feeds an army.  Luckily Craig and Andy had coordinated a game get-to-gether for the same night I planned to fry up some goodies.  What I didn't plan for was Craig's flight to be diverted to Memphis and then delayed 4 hours before arriving home.  Chesley had to grill, which was funny because she was the guest, but in the end, we sat down for dinner after 8:00...and it was so yummy!!!  Chesley made tomato pie with Grandad's tomatoes, and the girls made Oreo blondies for dessert.  Claire arrived late and in the middle of the cooking chaos and went outside and told her mom, "Miss Jessica is cooking Thanksgiving dinner in there!"  haha
