Carter's 3rd Birthday

Carter turned three on the same day as the One: Twenty-Seven 5K and Fun Run.  She had such a fun morning running around the church, playing with friends, getting her face painted and posing with all the characters.  Her party was scheduled for the following weekend, but we wanted to do something a little extra special for her actual birthday, so Grandad Mike showed up and we went to Chuy's at Opry Mills.  I was way too tired to get ready again, so I went to dinner and the mall dressed as a unicorn...I got a few stares, but considering where we were, I fit right in.  Carter is obsessed with horses and asked for one for her birthday, so it was only fitting that Grandad bought her first pair of cowboy boots and a stuffed horse when we went to the mall.  We finished the night with a cookie cake all to ourselves since Charley went to a sleepover!
