Alice the Elf arrived at the Robinson household right after Thanksgiving. It's nice to have the extra pair of "eyes" to watch the girls, but that Elf is high maintenance. She hid in some fun places this year...and some last-minute-where-can-we-throw-her-before-Charley-gets-up places. Charley said her favorite was when Alice flew in Mommy and Daddy's room and hung above our bed from the ceiling fan...of course I didn't get a picture of that.
Mommy's favorite was when Alice left a note and a box telling the girls to put in one toy each day for the last week leading up to Christmas. Alice was going to take those toys back to the North Pole so Santa could fix them up in his workshop for other little boys and girls. Much to my surprise, Charley loved this task. She decided she didn't want to wait and give one toy a day, but filled the box on the first night.
See you next year, Alice.
