Charley is blessed to have so many people who already love her and that have worked hard to prepare for her arrival. My friend Candace's husband, Keith, started the decorating process by putting up crown molding....which helped get everyone else on board with my pink ceiling idea. My mom (Gramma...that's what we hope Charley will call her) has done so many things over the last few months that I can't even begin to mention them all. She has helped me design, match paint, pick out furniture, choose lighting, organize and execute all of my ideas. We have had the best time shopping and decorating together, and I know this room is even more special because it was planned and created with so much love. Grandaddy Charlie and Justin were a huge help, because they delivered the furniture that we never thought we would get....it was on back order for what seemed like forever! Of course the delivery wouldn't have been complete without Granny Martha's supervision, ironing and cleaning skills. Granddad also hung the beautiful chandelier. My best friend Rachel has been amazing and has done so much! While I sat in the pink chair and directed, she and Craig put the crib together, among other things. She also found and painted the adorable, white mirror that is above the changing table, because I just had to have a white, round mirror. Even on days that I was too tired to do anything, she would call and say I am coming over to work in the baby room...Charley is so lucky to have Aunt Rachel! My dad has also been pretty incredible. He and Craig spent a whole day putting new shelves and racks in the closet so Charley could hang up all of her clothes....and didn't even complain about how many clothes were already in there!!!
I really appreciate everyone's help, and can't wait to bring our baby girl home to see her beautiful room.
Now we wait.....
