Camryn slowly started to get the concept of Alice during the month of December, and by Christmas she was asking about and looking for her daily. It's the middle of January, and she is still asking! I answer the question "where did Alice go?" or "yes, Alice is with Santa at the North Pole!" at least ten times a day.

Santa
Santa was way too good to our girls this year. Carter asked for a desk and tv for her new room, but Santa went above and beyond and did a full room makeover. He left a cute note directing her to her room, and she literally bounced off the newly painted walls with excitement when she walked inside. It had all the things she wanted and more in the urban cowgirl decor that she has been talking about for months. Charley had a very middle school girl stack of presents...Nike Blazers, perfume, makeup mirror, brushes, makeup...and the very last present she found hidden behind the stack was the one thing she had been wanting for forever...a phone...she lost her mind...then cried! Camryn loved sitting at her new table and was obsessed with her Toniebox. The smile on her face disappeared temporarily after she had a hard all on her Little People Barbie house, but she perked up after some extra loving. Nothing says "Merry Christmas" with a toddler like a near trip to the ER.

Christmas Day in Kentucky (and the ride home)
Grandad Mike cooks breakfast every year on Christmas morning, then we do gifts with Granny Martha and Grandad Charlie. It takes a while to pack the cars, and we typically leave for TN mid afternoon. We stop at the exit 86 Pilot every single year on our way home from KY. Last year we bought these ridiculous shirts and saved them for this year's ride home. Some people have fancy Christmas traditions, but ours involves fountain drinks, snacks and tacky shirts from one of the few places actually open on Christmas Day!
