Pancakes and Pajamas at Amma and Granddad’s House

I seriously have the best parents in the whole world!  Seriously!  When I was all stressed out on how to handle Charley’s 4th birthday...make it special for her, make everyone happy, make it cute (for me), make it fun for the kids, but accommodating for family...Amma came to the rescue with a small party for Kentucky friends and family.  Charley called the Kentucky party her “fake party” since she is having a “real party” at Pump It Up, and she loved every minute of her “fake party!”

Pancakes and Pajamas at Amma and Granddad’s House was a huge success.  Small turned into not-so-small with 37 guests, 13 pancaking toppings, and lots of bacon and sausage.

We loaded up a Birthday Pancake with lots of the yummy toppings to sing “Happy Birthday” to Miss Priss.

Fruit loop necklaces were a huge hit with the kiddos.  They were all so cute stringing and eating their necklaces.

Charley got lots of great presents, and the kiddos tore into most of them right away.  The Bradley’s got her 101 Dalmatians (which she already has), and her reaction mortified me to the point where we have “practiced” opening presents this week and how to react.  We’ve opened toys we already have and things we wouldn’t necessarily like including the stapler in my desk, all in hopes that she will react much better next time...here’s hoping!

Thanks to Kari for the super cute invitations!

Carter’s 4 Month Photo Session

Carter saw Dr. Mukundan for her 4 month check up and was doing so good.  She weighed 12 pounds 13 ounces (18th percentile) and was 24 3/4 inches long (58th percentile).  She has grown so much since her last visit.  It has been a busy month for Carter.  She switched to formula, rolls over from her back to belly all the time, started spitting, spent the night with Amma and Granddad, got the stomach bug, started jabbering more and laughs all the time.  Her sleep definitely regressed, but I think it was a combination of reflux, formula, the stomach bug and maybe a growth spurt.  Hopefully we are getting back on track...hopefully!  She is such a teeny little thing, so the double-chin in her 4 month pictures cracks me up.  She loves old school country music, her swing and Big Sister.  She definitely looks like her Daddy, but I see Charley in her more and more.  Granddaddy Charlie says she will be blonde before we know it.  And Granny Martha is crazy about Baby Carter.
