Rutland's Got Talent

Carter spent a few weeks preparing the perfect audition material for the role of emcee at Rutland's Got Talent, and as our luck would have it, she threw up minutes before walking out the door on her day to audition.  She was devastated!  I emailed and messaged every one that I could think of, and I'm so thankful they accepted a video audition once she started feeling better.  Craig and I helped her prep for the audition, but we never expected her to be selected in the 3rd grade and did our best to manage her expectations.  We were just as excited (and a tad shocked) when she told us she was going to be in the show!

Together we crafted a script with jokes and props and comedy that was perfect for Carter and her co-host, and they nailed it the night of the show.  Carter was a natural on stage, and her quick wit made her a hilarious emcee!

Last Day of Preschool

Last day of preschool for Cam...bless her sweet teachers, Mrs. Vicki and Mrs. Hannah, for putting up with her all year!  I don't think one day went by that they weren't entertained.  They told me they eventually stopped saying things like, "did she just say blank?" because she certainly did say whatever shocking thing they originally thought she said.  She wasn't super cooperative with the photo shoot, but her little face looks so much older to me.  She learned a ton, probably taught even more, and had the best surprise on the last day when Uncle Justin was with me at pick up.
